The Grape and The Grain – Better Keep Digging (Review)

The Grape And The GrainThe Grape and The Grain is a project done by Daniel Grimsland who is the bassist of the band 3 and Time Travels. This album, however, features him playing everything one-man-band style: playing all the instruments and doing the vocals; that really shows how talented this man is.

Better Keep Digging has a great sound that to me sounds like he perfectly blended good ol’ rock & roll with blues, and it’s just plain fun to listen too. It has a unique sound of sorts, which really works with the whole album, but especially on songs like “Devils” (which is available for a free download right here) and “This Town Is Gonna Kill Me” which happen to be my 2 favorite songs on the album and the ones that really define the style of the music for me.

This album left me hungry for much more from The Grape and The Grain and I can not wait to see where this project goes in the future. It can be purchased for $8 over on the bandcamp page and is worth every cent. Needless to say- if you are a fan of the band 3 or Time Travels, you owe it to yourself to check this album out right now. I give this album a 9/10 and highly recommend it to anyone who needs something new to listen to.
